What we found and what we fixed

Problems that started before Joel took over on 15 September, with dates from your Google Search Console and our checks of the old site.

WhenWhat we foundWhat we did
Late AprilThe number of searches showing your site on Google's first page nearly halved in one week (972 to 611).Rebuilt page by page, restored missing answers and wording, fixed page titles. Now climbing again.
From MayAfter the old host was breached, the site was running on a backup from 21 May. Around three and a half months of edits were lost.Moved to clean new hosting on 15 September with every web address kept. Your post-June wording and 21 missing FAQ answers put back.
4 to 11 SepGoogle was showing your About page for a gambling brand, from spam added on the old host. It was seen 2,124 times in search.Clean About page on the new site. Google asked to re-read it on 21 September. The spam searches are left out of every number in this report.
9 to 10 SepThe whole website was redirecting to a development address instead of nextwavetherapy.com.au.Your own domain now points straight at the new site.
SeptemberFake emails were being sent using your web address. The old agency still had owner access to your Google Search Console.Fake emails now go to spam. The agency's Google access was removed on 23 September.
Found on 28 SepTen links on Injuries We Treat sent visitors to ChatGPT's website instead of your own pages. All ten now go to the right pages.

#1 to #3 #4 to #6 #7 to #10 #11 to #20

Searches moving up since the takeover

Service searches where people found you on Google and clicked through, over the last three months.

What people searchedBeforeNow

The plan

Keep visits growing past 1,000 a month and win the searches where you are close to the top.

Fremantle

Biggest search market

More people search for Fremantle than for O'Connor. Done so far: Fremantle is back in the Physiotherapy page title, your nine suburb pages are linked from every page and five pages that all called themselves the Fremantle page now carry their own titles.

  • Build out the Fremantle physio page so it is the clear Fremantle page.
  • Keep one clear Fremantle page for physio and one for occupational therapy.
  • Goal: first page for "physio fremantle" and Maps top 5 around the clinic.

Chronic pain

Your specialty

Done this week: the home page links to Chronic Pain Physio again, the two chronic pain pages now work as a pair and your old answers on back, neck and lower back pain are back on the page.

  • Goal: back in the top 3 for "chronic pain physio perth".

Perth-wide

Long game

"Physiotherapy Perth" and "exercise rehabilitation Perth" are competitive searches.

  • Two articles a month from your own service pages, each linked to its service.
  • Regular posts on your Google Business Profile.
  • Goal: first page for exercise rehabilitation Perth.
